音楽監督・飯田大介 2010年音楽監督の飯田氏により創設、古楽器による演奏普及を目的に東京で活動をスタートした。2016年・2017年の2度にわたる香港中文大学香港チャペル招聘公演を大成功に収め、今や​ヘンデル・コレギウムは東京、香港、台湾などにおいて重要な役割を果たすと共に、共演のアジア中の音楽家らも高く評価するまでに至る。 芸術監督の奇才・飯田氏の門下生のプロメンバーらで創設、研究熱心に演奏会活動やアウトリーチ、啓蒙活動を展開。 後には自主運営楽団として時々の実力ある古楽プレイヤーを中心に演奏会を開催し2027年には12年目を迎えた。 定期演奏会は自主開催として200回を越えるに至る。 ヘンデル、コレルリ、ヴィヴァルディのトリオソナタ、室内楽を主力に据えアンサンブルの楽しさを伝えている。YouTubeやインスタでも積極的に配信。 少数精鋭でその演奏スタイルや独特な解釈には聴衆からの支持も厚い。定期演奏会シリーズを欧州風チャペル・表参道アイビーホール・グローリーチャペル、池袋シャロンゴスペルチャーチなどを拠点とし、残響豊かな音楽づくりが特徴的である。 東京と福岡に拠点を構え、研修会、定期練習などに加え「香港国際交流演奏会」「台湾国際交流演奏会」「東京定期チャペル演奏会」など外部依頼公演、海外大学公式招聘公演、バロック国際マスタークラスを開催。 アジア諸国との国際交流演奏会を通じ各国を代表するバロック声楽、古楽器奏者を招聘。バロック音楽にかかわる芸術家をつなぐことで”身近な環境で”と”身近な楽団”を理想としてバロックの魅力を発信。 Handel Collegium Since 2010 With the success of their Hong Kong Chapel concert at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016, the Handel Musicum currently plays an important role in the Asian Baroque music scene in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea, garnering high praise from the musicians of those communities. The ensemble was born of Mr. Iida’s passion for Baroque music, as a remarkably talented musician who identifies as quarter Chinese.The founding members are professional musicians who are students of Mr. Iida. Their love for research, outreach, and advocacy grew gradually, and in 2016, they formed an ensemble specializing in Baroque instruments. The ensemble collaborates with other musicians outside of Mr. Iida’s school, enjoying excellent performances together. Their joyful chamber performances are an audience favorite. Usually held in Glory Chapel of Omotesando Ivy Hall, a European-style chapel, the concert series has given over 150 performances to date, including performances overseas. The Handel Musicum holds trainings and regular practice sessions at its practice studio in Setagaya, Tokyo, with international exchange concerts held in Hong Kong and Taiwan, a chapel concert series in Shinjuku, private performances, official invitation concerts by universities overseas, and international masterclasses.They have welcomed leading figures in Baroque vocal and instrumental genres as guest performers. Under the management of the Asia Arts International Exchange Committee, they aim to share the joy of Baroque music by connecting artists involved in Baroque music around Asia as an ensemble group in an environment that is approachable to the audience. They hold their concert series about 10 times a year in special chapel venues in Japan and overseas.
